What we collect:

  • Data from forms (on the website or from Google forms- hyperlinked through our website). These data include, but are not limited to, email addresses, first name, last name, birthdate/age, country of residence, the highest level of education, etc.

  • Video explanations of questions that you provide us for the tutor application. These are shared on youtube and are available to anyone on the internet to view.

  • Recorded session meetings.

  • Any comments you make or posts that you create on the forums.

  • Feedback and testimonials that we receive from tutors and students.

  • When you use our services, our website may automatically collect data such as cursor location, internet browser, screen resolution, date/time stamps, location, etc.

  • We may also receive information associated with your email account when you log into our platform via Google.

Why we collect data:

  • Data such as email, name, and age are used to communicate with learners, tutors, and other staff members.

  • Data from the form “request a session” is shared with tutors so that they can understand the needs of students and can plan sessions accordingly.

  • Data from google forms are used to shortlist candidates for different roles based on the strength of their application, interview, and requested work samples, if applicable.

  • Birthdates are used to verify if the learners are more than 13 years old.

What we do with your data:

  • Personal information entered in forms may be shared with staff members for quality maintenance.

  • Recorded session meetings may be re-watched for security and quality maintenance reasons. Furthermore, clips of answer explanations may be extracted, edited, stored, and used as resources. (It is important to note that no learner's data will be shared through these clips at all)

  • Posts and comments put on forums are available for anybody to view. Such information is solely required for academic interactions.

  • We request feedback and testimonials to showcase them on our website and social media pages. These are used to market our services, achieve more recognition and consequently grow our user base.

  • Cursor location is never stored and is solely used by our websites to provide a more interactive experience to users.

  •  Information that we receive from our login service provider (Google) is used to provide a more personalized experience to users.

  • All the data for forms is stored and can only be accessed by staff members in The Lyceum’s teams. This data may be used to identify trends and increase coverage.

  • We do not share/sell any of your information to third-party companies for monetary purposes.

Ownership of Data​

  • You are free to appeal for deletion of any of your personal data that we have. This excludes recorded meetings and other multimedia content that you submit to us.

  • The data that we may publicly share (on our website or social media) includes video clips from sessions and tutor applications, social media posts created by content developers, and testimonials provided by tutors and students.
